horse-riding lessons

It's many children's  and teenagers' biggest wish to learn how to ride a horse. So this is what most parents do: You call the next horse riding stable and register your child for a new-beginners lesson on the lunge. When you get there, the people seem to be very helpful since your horse has already been saddled and is ready to go. After the first lesson, you are very proud of your child because it can already trot and canter on the lunge - that's what you've paid for, isn't it?

The 'conventional riding career' of most riders start like this. In my opinion, gaining your first riding experiences involves much more than just to sit on a horse's back while being externally controlled by the riding instructor. Learning how to ride includes becoming a horse-person. This process might take longer, but it is more profitable in the long run.
